Lorena Ault is a Anti-Trafficking Survivor Advocate, API Chaya

Lorena is a vibrant and inspiring advocate based in Seattle, Washington. She is known for her deep advocacy knowledge, "can do" strategies, and for making advocacy fun.
Lorena immigrated to the US 18 years ago from Mexico City, and quickly put her skills and education in Business to work as an advocate focusing on prevention and education and a bilingual bicultural legal advocate for the YWCA, Walla Walla for 17 years. In 2019 Lorena became an API Chaya. API Chaya empowers survivors of gender-based violence and human trafficking to gain safety, connection, and wellness.  We build power by educating and mobilizing South Asian, Asian, Pacific Islander, and all immigrant communities to end exploitation, creating a world where all people can heal and thrive. Lorena is also currently a member of the Washington Crime Victims Certification Steering Committee also known as The Safety and Access for Immigrant Victims Program at the Washington State Department of Commerce.
