Rev. Cruz Edwin Santos became ordained in Puerto Rico in the 1990’s. In 1997, he

worked as a “Pastor of a Multicultural and Hispanic Church” in Illinois. In Florida, he also has

the same position. In the 2000’s he became the “Director of Hispanic/Latino Ministries” for the

Florida Conference, and later for the General Board of Discipleship. As staff of the Florida

Conference, he was an instrumental part of the growth of its Hispanic/Latino Ministries. The

number of Hispanic/Latino missions and churches doubled during his time with the Florida

Conference. Increasing from 30 to 64. His worked included implementing the Florida

Conference Comprehensive Hispanic Plan and increasing the participation of Hispanics/Latinos

in conference activities. In the 2010’s, he worked as the “Senior Pastor” of several UM

churches, until he became a “Home Care Chaplain”. From 2019 until present, he has been

working as the “Director of Hispanic/Latinx Ministry” for the Pacific Northwest Conference.
